Bowen Soft Tissue Release
The Bowen Soft Tissue Release is a holistic approach to wellness.
Bowen Soft Tissue Release may well be one of the single most important tools we have to facilitate healing of the whole body. The Bowen release brings about incredible results by penetrating to a deep cellular level, incorporating the body’s unique ability to heal itself. The release allows lymphatic drainage to take place allowing removal of toxins and the release of old holding patterns, the moves begin to accomplish holistic re-balancing almost immediately. Since Bowen Soft Tissue Release addresses the body as a whole unit, rather than just the presenting symptoms, it embraces the physical, chemical, emotional and mental aspect of each person receiving the treatment. The Bowen practitioner is merely a catalyst, setting the stimulus in motion for the body to reset or heal itself. Because the human body is so amazing, self-healing can often be achieved with minimal outside influence. A Bowen session, whether to address a specific problem or maintain a healthy body, is the essence of simplicity.
How Bowen Soft Tissue Release Work?
Simply stated Bowen Soft Tissue Release resets the body to heal itself. The work consists of a series of gentle rolling moves across connective tissue and nerve plexuses, using a light but firm touch, that is done over clothing. There are frequent important pauses between these moves, which gives the body time to benefit from each set of moves. By combining moves, both in placement and in combination the practitioner can address the body as a whole or target specific problems. The Bowen practitioner is able to discern stress built up in the soft tissue and then utilize the Bowen move to release the stress. Bowen Soft Tissue Release balances and stimulates energy flow, resulting in a deep sense of overall relaxation. The restorative process begins once the body is relaxed, and continues as the body allows. Healing seems to occur by affecting the body’s autonomic nervous system, which creates balance at a cellular level. The Bowen Soft Tissue Release is referred as a complimentary modality. This means it will enhance and compliment (not interfere with) other medical attention.
